If when you hear “bridge” camera you stay the same as if they speak to you in Chinese, you should know, that, you are, they are cameras that are halfway between the compacts of all life and the SLR.
The bridges have advanced functions but without reaching what a real SLR can offer us. Even so, if you are not a professional or very purist, with the SP-100EP you will obtain professional quality results.
Although there are many virtues I believe that most users will agree with us when we say that one of them stands out above the rest. This is the power the optical zoom offers us.
This zoom is equivalent to that of a lens 24 – 1,200 mm. and it allows us to position ourselves up to 50x without losing any drop in quality. The digital zoom doubles this figure but as you know, we will lose definition the closer we get.
Apart from this great news, has a TruePic VII processor that we saw in premium compact cameras, such as the Olympus Stylus SH-1, and have given very good results. The resolution of the sensor is 16 MP and it allows us to record videos with Full HD 1080 at 60 fps.
