Google Pixel XL. More battery, more screen and something heavier. These are the three basic differences that we find in the “plus” version of the Google smartphone.

We still do not know the reasons for the little success of this device. It really is a very powerful smartphone, with a pretty careful design and with almost everything that an Android user (and some iOS) could want. The “almost” refers to something that seems basic to us in Manuals and Tutorials: the microSD slot. It is true that we can choose between 32 or 128 GB of internal storage but today cameras, music, games, …. everything occupies too much and always is a good way to expand.
Even so, it is a defect that does not tarnish the general note of the device. The changes in this XL version are a larger screen (5.5 “instead of 5.) This means higher resolution (1,440 x 2,560 pixels) and an improvement in the definition and details of the images. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to protect it.
Inside, we are delighted with the maximum performance, its 4 GB of RAM and its 4-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. Any game or application that we want to run will do so with maximum fluidity.
The battery rises to 3,450 mAh gaining about 100 hours in standby compared to Google Pixel.
Both the main camera and the front camera are maintained. The first with a 12.3 MP sensor with laser focus and the second with a resolution of 8 MP. We can capture videos up to 4K at 30 fps and we have a pretty professional camera application.
The USB connection type C, the fingerprint and Android 7.1 Nougat, among others, give this device the high-end badge, bordering the elite. The bad thing is that the price also rises to the elite and many users will not even look at it.
